Why does my oil light blink on my 1045 LT cub cadet?
When I start my 1045 LT cub cadet lawn tractor the oil light blinks. After the lawn tractor is running about 2 minutes it starts smoking around the exhaust. Why?
The blinking light mean it needs the oil changed. That is the same as a service engine light on a car.
The smoking around the exhaust could indicate an oil and/or gas leak. Your valve covers may be leaking. If you added oil because of the blinking light and overfilled the crankcase, you may be burning oil. The crankcase breathes through the carburetor and will draw oil in if the crankcase if too full.
