why do we use jumper in slave-mode in connecting combo drive with pc instead of other two(Master and CS)?
when i am connecting new CD+DVD drive in my system.. it does nt work.. after i changed the jumper at back side of the drive kit to slave mode, it works, before it was in the Master mode.. what does it mean? what behinds it?
is there another device on the same ide channel? If so, then it is probably set to master…or could be cs and system designated to master. If it alone on the channel, then maybe it was build reverse from the manufacturers diagram you are using.
