Exhaust Fan duct?
I was cited during a home inspection saying the following.. I was wonder what exactly it entails:
The exhaust fan duct needs to be extended out of the attic space to the exterrior of the home.
What does that entail and what would a rough price on that be?
Code requires that no exhausting into the attic be allowed. All exhausting must be to the exterior of the structure. You will probably find it easier to install a dryer vent hood in the gable end of your home and extend 4″ pipe to it. Soffit venting can get complicated and expensive. Before you do anything, ask the inspector to clearly explain what he wants done.
