I need help to decorate my house w/art.?
Any specific art pieces to go on any of these walls?
My bedroom: Some good sized open walls, painted in a summery green. Medium stained wood paneling, and light stained furniture.
Living room: light yellow walls, same medium stained wood paneling, light colored couch, light brown recliner.
1/2 bath: small, white walls, black iron mirror.
Full bath: light blue walls, white fixtures, black paneling.
Instead of finding the same old stuff that everyone has, try to find a local art gallery or a local market that has some artists with their work. That way you support the local artists, as well as having unique pieces instead of mass-produced items.
If you’re on a super-tight budget, try a few garage sales – it’s amazing the stuff you will find.
If you have a friend or family member that takes great photos, ask them if you could get some of them printed and find some well-priced frames to put them in.
There are even some insanely good deals on art on Ebay, just type in the type you’re looking for (abstract art, abstract painting, landscape painting etc) and find someone local so you can pick it up and even save on shipping costs.
Your colours aren’t too over-the-top and you should be able to easily find things that work for you!
Maybe it’s just me, but I”m tired of seeing everyone’s houses with the same old art in them, be it mass-produced art from specific artists, to those stock Ikea art cards. I like seeing different pieces that the person has picked out on their own in various places that suit them!
