im in the army , is my chain of command wrong for not promoting me?
i got an article 15 and was demoted from e-4 to e-2 . when they demoted me they gave me a suspended bust which kept me flagged for 6 months. now , i am flag free and i have been doing well. all together its been 8 months and they still have not promoted me. all i need is time in grade because i have the time in service. i passed my pt test with a 253 and i am in school. i have not had a counseling statement in 10 months ! at what point would i take it up higher?
okay i was a e-4 not a sergeant i messed up and its over. i have more than proved myself and my leadership abilities. so if your answer to me is that i don’t deserve to be promoted then please do not leave an answer. i guess i would rather just hear a regulation answer rather than an opinion. thank you
After you surpass the TIG. And your record of the ART 15 doesn’t just disappear because you’ve been good for 10 months. Keep at it and get the TIS and TIG. If you don;t start seeing positive things then you have a gripe.
