The MKZ can get more than 700 miles in the city one just one tank of fuel, which it makes it extremely fuel efficient. And since we’re on the topic of fuel, the MKZ utilizes a Capless Fuel-Filler which means that you no longer have to unscrew the cap every time you fill up.
The MKZ is elegant and classy looking and features a beautiful distinct grille. 17 inch alloy wheels are standard and the windshield is acoustically laminated in order to reduce noise. The interior cabin is luxurious and roomy; the MKZ can comfortably seat five passengers. The MKZ combines opulence with thoughtful eco-friendliness; the seats are crafted in Bridge of Weir leather which is considered one of the most environmentally friendly leathers on the market. The interior walnut wood trim is not only exquisite to look at but it also comes from forests which are managed with rigid environmental controls. The front seats can be heated and cooled with 10 different settings. Additional upgrades for the MKZ include a voice activated navigation system, Bluetooth technology and USB connectivity.
Another very nifty feature of the MKZ is it’s innovative SmartGauge with EcoGuide clusters. This enables the driver to monitor fuel efficiency, odometer, engine coolant temperature, fuel economy history, trip data and the number of miles left until the tank goes empty. The part that makes the LCD panel really stand out is the animations which let you know when you are driving for maximum fuel efficiency in the form of growing leaf and vine animations on the display. The lushness and growth of the leaves corresponds with your driving. This feedback encourages you to drive more efficiently and it’s fun too!
This luxurious hybrid was designed with safety in mind. The MKZ makes use of dual front airbags which are only activated when a seat is occupied. The Ford Belt-Minder system is also in place, which reminds passengers to wear their seatbelts. Parents will be relieved to know that the MKZ utilizes Ford’s MyKey system, which allows parents to control the speed limit in order to encourage safe driving behaviors in teenagers.
