how to remove Hayward Northstar pump strainer cover?
Pump strainer lids can be very obstinate. If any raised edge exists, use a piece of 2×4 and a hammer. A large strap wrench will also work. Brute force (and ignorance) are just what one needs sometimes. Remember to lubricate the o-ring upon re-assembly.
