Pool filter not catching ALL the DE after cleaning. Is this normal?
I just cleaned my DE pool filter. After adding new DE via the skimmer, I notice that some of the DE comes back into the pool via the return line. The pool is now a bit murky because of this. Is this normal? After doing this before, opened the filter up again and checked for holes or tears in the “filter grids”, there were no obvious ones. My 6 way valve is on FILTER, not return or something else that would cause it to skip the filter. Your link is broken.
No it it is not normal.
You have a broken o-ring or seal allowing the material back into the pool. Only taking it apart and inspecting will find it.
