Why does water level drop when filter is running?
I have a Hayward Pro series pool filter in the house I have just brought and everytime that I use the vacuum, I end up losing an inch or two of water which is not real good when you live on farm with tank water only. Can somebody please help as I need to get my pool ready for a party this weekend.
need a little more info,sounds like you just bought a new filter and when you turn the pump on you lose water but you do not see a leak is this right?if so you may have a couple of lines hooked up in the wrong place make sure the line from the pump goes to the filter valve port marked pump,the port marked return goes out to the heater(if you have one)then out to the pool and the port marked waste or back wash goes to the drain.i think you may have the return and back wash lines crossed.or the valve is broken put the valve in the filter position and see if water is coming out of the back wash line
