Question about Lawn-Boy fuel mixture.?
I have a 7073 model Lawn-Boy lawnmower that I got for free to fix up, and the gas tank is empty. It says on the mower to mix one full can of Lawn-Boy oil to 2 gallons of gasoline.
The thing is, I currently have 2 gallons of gasoline mixed with two 3.2 oz. bottles of “Arnold Universal Engine Oil” which can be used for engines with fuel ratios of (32:1, 40:1, 50:1). I use this with my weedeaters and leaf blower.
Would it be alright to pour some of the gas I already have mixed for my weedeaters into the Lawn Boy, just to make sure it starts and runs alright? Would it hurt the mower to use this mixture? I would hate to have to make another trip to the gas station again…
it will be fine. i have several lawn boys, and i run them 50:1, which is 2.6 oz per gallon. 3.2 is only a little richer, and wont hurt a thing. you can use it in all your 2 cycle outdoor equipment
