If light bulb has a filament does that make it an incandescent one?
I just smashed a light bulb and I know you have to be careful when clearing up some types of light bulb. Trouble is I can’t work out what kind of light bulb this was. It had a filament does that mean that it’s definitely not one of the mercury containing ones? Or do some of the mercury or halogen ones still have filaments?
Some mercury containing flourescent tube lights have small filaments, these have two electrodes on each end of the tube. Compact flourscents have that Dairy Queen ice cream cone shape, so you’d know if it was one of those. Sounds like what you broke is an ordinary incandescent, as there aren’t any types of flourescents that could be mistaken for an incandescent.
