Sudden “gush” of blood during periods after lying down/sitting?
Is this normal? My theory has something to do with the uterus being under the vagina when you’re lying down, making the blood stay in place for a little, until you stand up and it’s all discharged.
This happens to me occasionally, usually on the 2nd or 3d day, after sleeping or sitting down for a long time and then standing up. Otherwise, I have pretty light/normal periods, changing a medium pad 2 or 3 times a day. Thanks for any help.
its normal. blood is flowing into the vaginal walls from the uterus and through the cervix and when you get up suddenly, the muscles in the vaginal wall contract causing the blood to be pushed out. no biggie
