What do those metal stars mean on people’s houses?
As I drive around I see these huge metal rustic looking stars hanging on the outside of people’s homes and I want to know what they mean.

It is just a Texas Star. They are very popular now to hang over the mantel or on the house outdoors. Some furniture makers are also putting them on some rustic looking furniture.
