what height should have your lawn mower blades set at in Summer and how compared to in Spring?
also do many commercial lawn care businesses mow at a high height all year..even in the lush spring time? do many raise their decks when getting around Summer time or when experience first week of hot , dry weather? why so for that?

3 inches is a good base.
you may choose to drop the blade height down a little for the first and last cuts of the season only
Early spring and late fall
If you cut the lawn too low you can damage the grass and kill the existing blades (of grass)
It’s a condition called hedging where too much of the section of the blades (of grass) that help the grass convert sunlight to energy (photosynthesis) are removed preventing the process.
Hedging will be easily identifiable when you make a pass and the grass appears light green or yellow. Set it and forget it when it comes to deck height.
You can also have problems if you allow the grass to get too tall between cuttings.
If you miss a cut and the grass gets too high.
Raise the blade for the initial cut, then cut the grass again in a few days with the blade dropped back to 3 inches.
