When putting new lawn mower blades on a mower…which side of the blade is suppose to face the ground?
is the curved or sharp edge suppose to point upwards inside the mower cover or face the ground? (dont know how else to describe it..maybe the “Slant” on the blade is suppose to be facing the ground or facing the mower cover inside the mower cover?)

The slant as you call it should face up. The bottom should be flat at least at front of blade where it is sharp. The back may curve up if you bought high lift blades. Imagine if you will, the blade cutting the grass and then it lifts off the blade upwards. How that helps.
