Could you explain please the principle how it gets to fire the spark when you pull start it and how it continuously sustain the firing during operation. I think in a car it’s provided by the battery, what’s the equivalent in a lawn mower engine? thanks
in a mower the spark is created with a magneto set inside the fly wheel, it position is factory set, if you removed the fly wheel you would see that the fly Wheel as a magnet set in the casting and a plastic lump bolted inside with bear steel blade looking parts that only just clear the fly wheels inside, these as they pass at each turn Create the spark. some old tractors use that same system,
