what is the tool called that is used to turn the cut off valve on the water supply outside your house?
I need to replace a washer on the shut-off valve inside my property as it is leaking. In order to do this I need to cut off the supply from the mains outside. The shape of the valve I need to turn outside is about 1 inch square, hence I need to know the name of the tool I should use to perform this operation – and if possible where would I get one from.
1 inch square is a massive size, guess hose should be 4 – 6 inches in dia. or more !
comes with a handle or lever, but u can actuate or turn the valve with a 12 – 16 inch long adjustable wrench
