Can I use a 21′ liner on a 20′ in diameter above ground pool?
We have a 20′ round above ground pool. I’ve measured it and yes, that is what it is. It has 52″ sidewalls and has an overlap liner on it now. That liner ripped so we need to replace it. I am having trouble finding a 20′ diameter round liner. It seems the standard size is 21′. Would there be a problem if we used a 21′ liner instead of paying through the nose for a 20′ custom sized liner?
No problem. It will not cause wrinkles. Poor methods of installing and filling cause wrinkles. Most liners are undersized and streched into place as the water fills. Learn the proper way of filling the pool to avoid wrinkles- Hint. keep it taunt as you fill, releasings liner as it fills.
