Building my own pendant lighting fixture. How do I add the ground wire? What material do I use?
I bought lamp wire which is tranparent, I think I still need to get coper wire, but I’m not sure. Anyone ?

The canopy comes with a screw. Is this screw supposed to be connected to the ground wire from the box? Is this the ground in my lighting fixture?Thanks
Most of the pendant lights I’ve seen used a thin “Aircraft cable” to run the ground from the box to the light and weaved it through the chain with the cord.

It may be the ground screw if it is by itself with no other obvious reason for it.
Since you said you were building your own I didn’t want to confuse you with what should or shouldn’t already be there.
