Why does my karcher pressure washer spray water in short bursts.?
Lent washer to a friend. It now can only operate by pumping out water in short rapid bursts.
This is not so much a problem of inadequate pressure as it is inadequate flow.Your water inlet should have a filter screen across it. Remove the screen and remove any sediment blocking it. Reinstall the screen and you should be in good shape.
If it doesn’t have a screen, look for an inline filter.
Don’t give in to the temptation to run this without a screen or filter. That is what keeps this type of damage from becoming permanent.
