how do you use a rice steamer?
i have a rice steamer that was my mothers and i don’t have the instructions on it. i need to know where i put the water. i know it sounds stupid but i have never used one before. i have never even seen one used before. it has a steam tray and a rice bowl. do i put the water in the rice bowl with the rice or does it go in the bottom part? i really need to know. i normally just cook rice on my stove but right now my stove is not working. i don’t even know how to cook rice in a slow cooker. i have done it in the microwave, but did not like it. please help.
i know how much water to use. i just need to know where to put it. do i put it in with the rice like i would on the stove or do i put it in the area under the bowl or in the area around the bowl?
the water goes in both the rice and the bottom part as well if it is one of those oval shaped steamers
