high pressure sodium bulbs?
i was wondering does anyone know wat would happen if u used a HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM LIGHT BULB in a regular lamp fixture, such as a table lamp. im not talking about the big 250 or 400 watt bulb maybe just a small 50 watt or 70 watt. does anybody know???
30-50 and 70 watt hps will fit in regular socket but without a ballast and starter nothing will happen as you need a large instantaneous voltage to create a arc across the two points in the tube to get the gas lit. Without that voltage and arc nothing will happen except you dont get light.
