Flagpole Hardware Will Get Your Custom Made Flag Off The Ground
Although you might not realize it, there are many different types of flags, such as national, state, local and custom printed flags. There are flags at sporting activities, flags for businesses and flags that celebrate holidays, and every one of these types of flags has a distinctive protocol for how they must be treated.
Because there are so many different kinds of flags available, flag etiquette can be extremely challenging at times. When it comes to custom flags – the ones you print out on your own, for a business or event – you may establish your personal rules for decorum and etiquette. For national flags, like the American flag, there are many set requirements that everybody should abide by.
Whether you keep one flag pole out front for the American flag, or you have several poles with other flags, the United States flag should be higher up than every other flag, and it should not ever touch the ground. In essence, the American flag needs to be the center point of any flag display.
Should you have some other flags aside from the U.S. flag, like sports flags or flags from various other countries, then the American flag should generally be on the right. This is true when you have many flags on a flag pole, then your American flag should be the highest. For locations that have many flags from diverse countries, make sure the other nations are at an equal height. This set up shows that we’re at peace.
If you decide to display your flag in a window, instead of going through the hassle of acquiring flagpole hardware, poles, ornaments and the like, then just be sure that the blue part of the American flag (also known as the union) appears like it is on the left when somebody is viewing it from the outside.
If you wish to display the flag outdoors, but you do not have any of the flagpole hardware besides the pole itself, you may need to look on the web to find the best offers. You’ll need the rope pully system, you may want an eagle to set at the top of the flag pole, or you might need a new latch that will attach the string to the flag. No matter what you need, you can likely find it less expensive online than if you were to visit a physical retailer.
