What should I use to remove power steering fluid stench from carpet?
The rack and pinion went bad on my wife’s Oldsmobile 98. Strange thing is, the seal at the steering shaft went bad, causing power steering fluid come up through the protective boot and onto the driver’s side floorboard. the floormat caught a lot of it, but there’s still quite a bit on the carpet. Is there anything I can use to get it out of my carpet, short of replacing the interior carpet? She’s refusing to drive the car with it smelling like it does.
try tuff stuff spray foam carpet and upolstery cleaner and a stiff brush as it has always worked for me on grease on carpets and makes the car smell great, walmart or about any auto store sells it.
