Basics Of New York Public Golf Courses
Is there anything you can’t do in New York? After enjoying the colourful buzz of the city, many neighbors and visitors want a short break from the bustle. One of the best ways to kick back and relax is by playing a few rounds of golf. There are a staggering variety of New York public golf courses to choose from in this beautiful northern state.
Here are one or two great selections : the 1st course on our list is located at the Lake Shore private club in Rochester. Although this is a private club, the course is public and open to anybody. Here you’ll find an 18 hole Championship golf course as well as a 9 hole Executive course perfect for the busy professional who needs a break from the corporate grind. Lake Shore also offers golfing instruction, junior golf programs, a fine eaterie and bar, a fantastic pro shop and masses more. Now, let’s move on to a course located in scenic Spencerport.
Buttonwood Golf Course in Spencerport is the only par 3, 18 hole course in the area. This course is challenging yet appropriate for all golfers. Beginners and advanced golfers can enjoy the gorgeous course which features natural scenery like creeks, ponds and trees. Everyone from the junior golfer to the senior golfer will love this picturesque course located close to Rochester. You’ll love the rustic clubhouse, a perfect place to rest and have delicious refreshments. There are also outdoor sitting areas where you can be among the beauty of colorful wildflowers and rolling green meadows.
In Manorville is the Swan Lake golfing club. At Swan Lake there is a 18 hole, par 72 course that is a pleasure for golfers of all skill levels. Greens charges here are quite affordable, making this the ideal course for the hobbyist golfer on a tight budget. The expanse of green grass offset by the sparkling water makes Swan Lake a delight to play. If you are in the Syracuse area, you should check out Tecumseh club. This nine hole public course is close to Syracuse College and excellent for any person who needs to play a tiny golfing in a cool and delightful environment.
New York public golfing courses are the perfect way to get back to nature and get some fresh air. While this state is most famed for the dynamic center that’s NY City, the golfing courses and clubs in other bits of the state aren’t to be missed. This is another of many reasons why Manhattan is a great place to visit or reside!
