Cold Weather Motorcycle Clothing – A Must Have When You Ride Your Bike In The Winter Months
There’s normally two types of people who ride their motorbike in the winter weather. There’s the one’s who live in a climate where they have to ride in the cool weather, and there’s those die hard riders who will ride their bike no matter what the weather conditions is. Well this write-up is for you who ride in the cold weather.
Cold weather motorcycle clothing is essential when you are riding in the winter season. One of the essential things you need to keep warm is your hands, if they freeze you are in major trouble. Leather, I can not convey this enough. If you don’t have any leather gloves you better not be riding when the environment starts getting cold.
It’s one important factor to be out side if it’s 30 degrees, But while you are on a bike going 70 plus miles an hour, and it’s 30 degrees outside, suddenly it feels like it’s below zero. In today’s market there are plenty of choices you have to select from when buying cold weather motorcycle clothing. Basically the various vendors to select when purchasing your winter clothing can be mind blowing. I find leather layers and covering your face will be effective, when the temperatures drop below 30 degrees.
Many people today ride with open face helmets. In the winter months it will be advisable to invest in a full face helmet, to always keep your face and ears warm. Leather chaps around your pant or coveralls if you have any will drastically minimize the wind. Since the wind will cut right through you when you are riding 70 or more miles an hour while it’s 30 degrees outside.
There are actually a wide variety of ladies motorcycle clothes selections that today’s riders have. You have much more choices than rider’s of only 10 or 20 years back. The best and most widely used piece of clothing used now and 10 or 20 years ago is leather. It is the most effective item to keep the chilly winter wind from cutting right through you.
When that wind chills you to the bone, the next thing you are thinking of is where can I stop and warm up. If it’s that cold when you ride you will probably find your self doing that anyway.
